Young people (and even some of you ‘oldies’! ) need to read more properly written books.
Proper writing skills have been thrown out of the window in favour of badly constructed sentences, bad punctuation and badly spelled words and social media inspired short-hand.
I am embarrased and appalled when i read messages, comments and emails from adults who are supposedly educated and taught the art of communicating in english language.
Some of you don’t get responses to applications and proposals because your presentation is fraught with grammatical errors and spelling errors one would expect from a five year old and so on.

“I will give you many descendants, and they will become a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous, so that you will be a blessing.”
This is God’s promise to Abraham. its also God’s promise to us too. But it doesn’t get fulfilled in some people’s lives because they seek it for the wrong reasons. Our God is all about MOTIVES. Why do you want what you want?
Why do you seek that career advancement? That relevance you want so much? That bigger stage? That influence you’re working so hard to get?

This topic is a grey area within the church today which often times generates a lot of controversy among church folks. Many people that concur to this line of thought are neither bold nor courageous to discuss it publicly because of the backlash it would receive.
We however can not be mute or timid on matters that are crucial to God and to our faith simply because we don’t want to be persecuted.
There is a priority of the Kingdom of God that we must begin to shove into our hearts even as Christians, which is the soul of man in eternity.

The word servant dropped into my mind this morning and I’ve been thinking about it. Who really is a servant? A person who performs duties for others or a person employed in the service of a government. In its medieval meaning, someone whose life exists for service
A servant’s life is lived to please and satisfy his or her master. And most importantly, servants are sent on errands.
Where are the servants of God?

I’ve come a long way.
A long way from sitting on the floor and crying because a boy isn’t paying me any attention
A long way from trying so hard to fit in and be liked
A long way from lying to myself and everybody about who i am
A long way from engaging in risky and dangerous behavior without caring about myself
A long way from hurting the people who love me because i didn’t know how to love myself
I’ve come a long way.
I didn’t get here by myself. God brought me.
Through the pain of brokenness, he lovingly put me back together.
I may be cracked and scarred. But my scars are beautiful.
They just show that indeed, I’ve come a long way.
I have shared about my personal struggle with depression on this blog before and one day i will probably share about how God healed me of BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder).
It’s a battle i don’t pray for anyone to have to fight. When I got this email from one of my blog readers, who is also a radio listener, i felt an emotion so great that a sob rose in my throat.
The interesting thing is i had met her before and if she hadn’t shared her story i would never have guessed she’d gone through so much. At the end of the day, this just reminds me that we are all God’s children and he’s placed us on different paths for different purposes. Some paths are harder than others. But through it all, he’s always faithful to see us through it.
Her name is KEHINDE ADEKOYA. Please read her story.

Hi Guys! This sunday’s episode of #TheRefresh was quite reflective. Listen to FLOROCKA and I talk about facing the truth about yourself. It takes great courage to tell yourself the truth about yourself and face your issues head on.

Here’s introducing OWECK. A dynamic music minister, a versatile singer, talented songwriter and producer, with the primary goal of pleasing God on and off the stage, O.W.E.C.K has established himself as one of Nigeria’s leading and brightest prospects for Gospel music.
He believes in exploring his creative possibilities without limits or boundaries, and that quest led him to the stage of the Nigeria Idol Talent Show in 2013, where he emerged as a semi-finalist. An alumnus of the prestigious Peter King’s College of Music, O.W.E.C.K has paid his dues, working his way up by singing background vocals for Timi Dakolo, and as a solo artiste, he believes in bridging the gap between art and spirit.
He is currently a lead worship minister at the WaterBrook Church, Lagos, Nigeria.

Here’s his debut single; EZE.
Sometimes, God places you in a certain position for a specific mission. He can bring you into someone’s life to meet a specific need. Put you on a job to complete an assignment and once you’re done, he pulls you out.
The thing is, you have to understand what he has called you to do and be discerning to know when you’re done.
I served in a church for years (close to 10 years actually) and a little over a year ago, i sensed God calling me to serve somewhere else. This new place was smaller and so so different from the place i had grown used to.

In an industry like mine, you’re constantly in danger of believing your own hype. If God has blessed you the abilities and you’re good at what you do, you will be constantly surrounded by obsequious flatterers and fawners who are quick to sing your praises and tell you “how great thou art”.
You gotta admit it. It feels good. After all, doesn’t everyone need some form of validation and some ego stroking? Maybe.

Adultery used to be a taboo. Something to hide and be ashamed about. It used to be about Older men probably having a mid-life crisis and women who had some sort of marital dissatisfaction.
These days, Adultery has gone on rampage and young marriages seem to be the worst-hit. there’s a lot of issues to address and talk about here but i am most concerned about the horde of young married men in their 30’s to Mid 40’s who prey on single women.
