He Brings True And Brave Men…

Do you know that when God gives you an assignment, a job, or a mission, he supplies all that you need to do it? Apart from preparing you mentally, he prepares you spiritually and even gives you the physical support needed.

Read the story of the very first king of Isreal in 1 Samuel chapter 10. God selected Saul from a particular tribe, and then led him to prophet samuel to be anointed. Look what happened:

1 Samuel 10: 1-2 (MSG)

1-2 Then Samuel took a flask of oil, poured it on Saul’s head, and kissed him. He said, “Do you see what this means? God has anointed you prince over his people.

And see what the prophet told him:

1 Samuel 10: 7 (MSG)

“When these confirming signs are accomplished, you’ll know that you’re ready: Whatever job you’re given to do, do it. God is with you!

Pay attention to this: WHATEVER job you are given, you will be able to do BECAUSE of the anointing. The bible records that immediately after this happened and Saul turned to go, he became a different person. That’s what the spirit of God does inside you. He changes you from the inside out. He has selected you, anointed you and made you fit and ready to do all that he has asked.

1 John 2:27 (NLT)

27 But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit[b] teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ.

Now, with the inner ability comes physical help. God will raise people who will help you achieve your purpose. They will run along with you and follow you. They are the helpers of your destiny.  How do you recognise them when they come into your life? By the spirit. They are people moved by God to come, so when they do, your spirit will connect with them. They might be around you now, you could have known them for years. But immediately, you step into your purpose, they move right along with you.

Check out what happened to Saul again: (This was after he was chosen to become King before everyone)

1 Samuel 10: 26 – 27 (MSG)

26-27 Saul also went home to Gibeah, and with him some true and brave men whom God moved to join him. But the riffraff went off muttering, “Deliverer? Don’t make me laugh!” They held him in contempt and refused to congratulate him. But Saul paid them no mind.

TRUE AND BRAVE MEN that God has moved, joined him! As you step into your purpose, pray for the true and brave men that God has moved, to join you. Pray that you will recognise them when they come and that you will treat them right. Because if you don’t have the wisdom to recognise them and treat them well, you might damage the relationship.

Did you notice Saul also had haters? The Riffraffs. Those are the ones who can’t see what God is doing in you. They are muttering in the background. Like Saul, you won’t pay attention to them. Because looking at the bigger picture, they don’t matter.

God has chosen you for a special purpose; keep your eyes and your mind focused on that goal, run with the vision along with the helpers God has brought you and WIN!
