Matthew 5:4-5 (MSG)
You’re blessed when you feel you’ve lost what is most dear to you. Only then can you be embraced by the One most dear to you.
“You’re blessed when you’re content with just who you are—no more, no less. That’s the moment you find yourselves proud owners of everything that can’t be bought.
God requires us to live simple lives. That’s why he said we should lay aside every weight. He wants us to shed all self consciousness, self elevation and be content with who we have been created to be.
The world today makes much ado about ambition, and the desire to be somebody. As a result, even Christians are involved in the culture of self promotion and self seeking behaviour. The narrow way is just for you and God. God wants you to lose yourself in him. His dream becomes your dreams.
His ambition becomes yours. Your life entirely revolves around him and what he wants. That’s the life of a disciple. The life of the committed.
Don’t be pressured to be anybody else other than who God has made you to be.
