13 Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” 14 How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone. 15 What you ought to say is, “If the Lord wants us to, we will live and do this or that.” 16 Otherwise you are boasting about your own plans, and all such boasting is evil.
17 Remember, it is sin to know what you ought to do and then not do it.

Friendships are such a difficult thing to navigate in life, but such an essential part of life.
I read that the average friendship has a lifespan of 5 years. That is kind of sad but yet comforting at the same time. Friendships ebb and flow. Jobs change, people move, kid’s schools, teams and hobbies change. When a friendship ends, it does not mean there is something wrong with me. It is just a natural part of life. There are, however, a few things you can do to fast forward the ending of a friendship.
When companies advertise positions, they ask for only people with experience. Some ask for between 3 – 5 or more years of experience. So, how does a fresh graduate have any years of experience coming straight out from College?
Rather than flipping through vacancies looking for the highest paying job which still won’t take you cos you don’t have the number of years of experience needed.
“You passionately love Jesus, but you don’t really want to be like Him. You admire His humility, but you don’t want to be that humble.
You think it’s beautiful that He washed the feet of the disciples, but that’s not exactly the direction your life is headed.
You’re thankful He was spit upon and abused, but you would never let that happen to you. You praise Him for loving you enough to suffering during His whole time on earth, but you’re going to do everything within your power to make sure you enjoy your time down here.
In short: You think He is a great savior, but not a great role model.”
Temptation, or giving in to temptation, has been a serious problem since the beginning of time and is still a very real part of our lives today. Like it or not, we all have to deal with it. Most people may not really understand temptation and its purpose. In Luke 17:1, Jesus said, Temptations (snares, traps set to entice to sin) are sure to come….
How interesting is it to know that one of the most discussed topics by Jesus was the area of finance and money. If you have read the Bible and know the character of Jesus, you’d know that He wasn’t grooming people up to give their money to Him.
As far as we know, He never even went out of the way to ask for a money offering. The prime reasons why He discussed money was because nothing more comes in the way of our spirituality than money. Money is something that can easily misguide us before we even realize it.

How many of us can resist a juicy piece of gossip? It’s all good as long as we’re not the ones being talked about. Right? For some of you conscientious people, you’re okay with it; so long as what is being said is true. Right?
“Whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant” (Matthew 20:26-27).
This scripture underscores the responsibility of service – selfless service – as a key to greatness! Today, the Lord is letting us know that whoever must be great should be a servant – a minister. Now, the word “minister” as used above is from the Greek word “diakonos” which means an attendant, one who serves or runs errands for others; one who renders selfless service.
